Invoking the GoddessGoddess

Invoking the Goddess is a celebration of the divine feminine in all of us. By aligning with Goddess archetypes we bring the wisdom and benevolence of the Mother  Spirit to the practice of sacred ceremony, astrology, rhythm and dance, divination, and communion with nature.

Through empowering our natural gifts of intuition, nurturing, and healing, we awaken ourselves to the shift in consciousness which has been anticipated across cultures toward peace and female governance.

The approach will be inclusive, appealing to all levels of background; a coming together of our feminine spirit in strength, celebration and abundance.

Nature Elementals:  The earth is a magician’s paradise. Everything in nature is alive, glowing and teaming with energy. Together we will enter a communion with this magic, working in a very physical, sensual way to combine the 'super'natural  energies of flowers, herbs and crystals into sacred oils, incense, potions, and balms to stimulate our unconscious, magnify our intentions, accelerate our healing and receive the bounty of gifts that have been given to us by Mother Earth.  Each participant will take home a personal kit of herbs, sacred oil, a handmade incense, and a hand crafted wand.

Ceremony & Manifestation:  Ceremony is used directly as a tool of manifestation in order to draw our desires into our lives and experience well-being and fulfillment. It is also used as a means of worship and communion. By honouring the divine we enter a state of appreciation which expands our ability to receive fully and so accomplishes our well-being.

By integrating an understanding of manifestation into our ceremony we learn to create from the heart, with gentleness and ease. By adding ceremony to our manifestation we access accelerated pathways to spirit and the unconscious via chants, mantras, herbs, plants, goddess archetypes and elemental energies. Ceremonies this session will include: The Cone of Power; The Drumming Circle; & Drawing Down the Moon.

Rhythm and Dance: Dance and rhythm have been an essential ingredient of healing and magic from ancient times, across cultures. We will have the opportunity to participate in a guided drumming circle, to incorporate drumming into our rituals, and to participate in the experience of ceremony which draws on dance as a tool of healing and creation and celebrates our beautiful feminine essence. We will also explore the rhythmic use of our voice to raise energy with chants and mantras.

Astrology:  Ancient knowledge of planets and constellations is interwoven with the myth of God and Goddess. We will awaken and/or deepen our understanding of how we are influenced by planetary patterns and alignment, how goddess energy and story correspond to these influences, and how to draw on these influences to accelerate our magic.

Divining:  Divining is simply engaging in communication with the divine, or otherwise put, the practice of asking for and receiving guidance from our higher self through our unconscious mind. The natural world is always in communication with us, through plants, crystals, animals, elements. By deepening our understanding  of the 'language' of nature we can enhance our experience of the intuitive messenger within. We will also practice divining with goddess energy through meditations and oracle cards.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:  Note this is a general itinerary which doesn’t delineate the full experience of each class but is intended as general map of the progression and content of this session.

Night One: The Goddess: We will begin our session with an introduction to a way of life based on communion with both female and male energies that was lost over the ages and is now in the beginning phases of resurfacing, and how that 'way' works in harmony with nature through the intuitive and nurturing faculties to affect healing, manifestation, and abundant living. We will also embark on a personal journey, supported by our connection with one another and drawing upon this feminine energy, to bring us toward fulfillment of an area in which we are 'seeking'. We will choose an archetypal Goddess energy to align with over the course of our session, and we will receive a message from the Goddess through guided meditation. Finally we will leave with an Aphrodite Bath Ritual for  practice at home.

Night Two: Sacred Oils: With over 100 herb, flowers and essences to choose from this evening becomes a feast for the senses. We learn the magical and healing properties of nature and secrets of plant shamanism as we mix and bless ingredients and energies, charge our creation with sacred intention and take it home to use in a ritual bath or to place on our altar. We will also receive a kit of essential herbs to for home use.

Night Three:  Ceremony-The Cone of Power: We ease into group ceremony with the sacred mission of sending healing to an elected loved one or friend, learning experientially the raising and direction of energy, and drawing upon our inherent gifts as nurturers and healers. This technique has been used since ancient times and has been known for averting battles and protecting civilizations. Prepare to be surprised by the great gifts you have to give.

Night Four: The Medicine Walk: Dress warmly for this night as we will venture outdoors to commune with the Great Mother herself, collecting ingredients for our Medicine Bags, engaging in heart opening guided meditation, and receiving communications from plant and animal spirits.

Night Five: Ceremonial Tools-The Medicine Bag/The Wand: After a brief introduction to the tools of ceremony we will create our own medicine bags, incorporating ingredients collected in our medicine walk, as well as talismans or sacred objects we collect from home. We follow with dressing, blessing and charging our wands, a very serene experience that connects our creativity with spirit.

Night Six: Divination: After an introduction to divining tools and divining as sacred communion with the God/dess, we will engage in a group divining exercise with our medicine bags as the tool. Each participant will have questions answered in furtherance of their magical journey. This night is so much fun no one wants to go home!

Night Seven: Rhythm and drumming: We will to participate in a guided drumming circle, learning or practicing some basic rhythms and using them to raise energy and send healing to each other with a 'rhythm cradle'. An opportunity to release old emotions and blockages, and to empower ourselves with the creation of vibration.

Night Eight: Drawing Down the Moon: This ceremony brings our journey to completion with the special occasion of invoking the Goddess within us. Performed at the time of the waxing Moon, we ask to be filled with the extraordinary energy of our true divine feminine,  so shedding our limitations and stepping into our full potential. A powerful and sometimes life changing experience.
